http://tanglepatterns.com/2012/05/the-importance-of-strings.html
After reading that I realized, that I have mostly begin to draw a tile without a string.
Now I decided to start my own challenge: to draw a tile for each single string which is listed on Lindas site, beginning with #001.
I will try to draw at least 2 tiles per week and I wonder if I will get it within 2016.
I have joined the Flickr- Group http://www.flickr.com/groups/tanglepatterns-strings/ , where all members of the group show their tiles with reference to the used string.
I will show some of them here as blog posts and I have created a site on this blog (see sites above) to collect them all togehter. So , if anyone is interested... You can watch the progress of my challenge.
Here and now I would like to thank Linda Farmer for her huge efforts on her site! Without all her work, the informations, the hints, the collection of tangles and strings I would not have so much fun with Zentangle.
I am looking forward to the new Tangle Guide 2016!
The purchase of this E-book is for me a good possibility to thank Linda for her work!
This are two of my first string tiles, which I like most:
String #001
String #005
Hallo Simone,
ReplyDeletetolle Idee :-) Deine beiden Kacheln sind sehr schön geworden, besonders gefällt mir die zweite - sieht sehr raffiniert aus!
Viele Grüße,
Sandra
This is such a wonderful idea! The flickr group looks interesting. I really love these two tiles. The gem and color are stunning in the first! Your composition is amazing in the second. How do you make the printemps seem faded? You are an inspiration, Simone!
ReplyDeleteDear Jenifer, thank you for your comment - I am happy with it!
DeleteRegarding to Printemps : explanation is very easy: I drew it with a pencil (graphite) and used a tortillon... ;-))
I wish you a nice sunday!
