This week the DIVA reminds the Zentangle community to the basics of Zentangle, using only a white 3,5" tile, a black pen and a pencil.
Without any focus on the result - only on the process of tangling.
She is right... sometimes it is good to stop and to get back to the "Old School".
(Despite I love colours and I am sure we are going to use them also in the future.)
Yesterday I tangeled this tile for my own "String Challenge" where I try to complete all strings from Linda Farmers "Tanglepatterns.com".
When I read the DIVA Challenge today I decided immediately that this is just what the DIVA is asking for:
For this tile I used string #008 and the tangles "Namaste", "Fassett", Phroz", "W2" and "Cadent"
This tile is just gorgeous. I love the contrasts of light and dark and your shading is really nice too!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I think you picked perfect tangles for this string.
ReplyDeleteVery bautiful and elegant. I love Fasset and Phroz. Great combination!

Lovely choices, I particularly like the middle tangle pattern
Namaste is beautiful, isn`t it?

Hallo liebe Simone,
Kerstin

Well, it certainly looks like EXACTLY what The Diva was asking for. It is beautiful and soothing. Basics, basics, basics.
ReplyDeleteIs the pattern right in the middle Namaste? I like it a lot and I really want to try it. A lovely tile, I like it a lot.

Beautifully elegant!
ReplyDeleteHallo Simone.

The balance of this tile is just 'perfect'! I can only assume that 'nameste' is the center tangle looking of lotus flowers? If so...gorgeous! If not, whatever that is, is gorgeous :) Wonderful contribution!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tile! I love composition and balance. "Namaste" is such a lovely pattern.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tile, lovely tangles and balance!
ReplyDeleteHallo Simone, KLASSE ! Besonders in Kombination mit Namaste
ReplyDeleteWunderschön und sehr harmonisch, liebe Simone! Wunderbar wie die Muster ineinander fließen! Toll!

Great tile. I especially like the center tangle. It really draws your eyes.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tile and choice of tangles. I haven't seen some of those so I'm heading off to discover the steps!
Danke! Astrid
ReplyDeleteSehr schön. Besonders die Schattierungen gefallen mir sehr gut.
ReplyDeleteThis is so very pretty and delicate. I really like your choice of tangles, they work well together.
ReplyDeleteBalance. Between black and white, square and triangular. With that lovely, rounded and organic Namaste in the center. Beautifully done! Thank you, Simone!
