Christmas Classes and the last Challenges of 2017... DC#345 and IAST#223

Some weeks ago I wrote here on my blog about my preparations of two special Zentangle Christmas Classes which I gave in Dresden.
The preparation of these classes took some time. I had many ideas, but what would be the right one for the students? Would we have enough time to finish the tiles without hurrying? Which are appropriate tangles to choose?
Attached I show you some of my tiles which I prepared for this classes.

At first some stars, based on Paradox. This tangle is fun to teach!!

As main tile of the evening I prepared Christmas Cards.
We used 0.1 black Microns and a gold Gelly Roll pen, a red Gelly Moonlight and a transparent Gelly Stardust. The students were thrilled by these pens!

I had a wonderful first christmas class end of November. Based on those experiences (a bit too much!) I changed the content a little bit. The second class run last thursday.

I am really satisfied ... the preparation was good, the students were happy and it was a great experience for my Zentangle teaching journey!

I am so proud of them - some of them had no or only little Zentangle experiences and all of them drew fantastic tiles and Christmas cards!

Look at the Mosaics of the Christmas cards from my students.  Aren`t they beautiful?
The first one from November, 16th

And the second from December, 14th:

Around the preparation of these classes I drew some other Christmas Cards for my friends.
Here are some of them... they are my contribution to the DIVA Challenge #345 "Holiday Greetings"

Happy Anniversary, dear Laura! Seven years!! What a great job every single week! Thank you for that!

Last but not least I took part at Adele Brunos IAST challenge #223 this week.
Adele proposed to use the tangles Stella by Jana Rogers, CZT and Ahh by Maria Thomas.
I did not read to the end and drew only Stella .... I am sorry.. ;-)

I wish you all Merry Christmas,
peaceful holidays with your families with some good food and fine drinks and enough time
for relaxation and "Happy Tangling"!

It´s a String Thing #107

This week Adele Bruno gave us the challenge to tangle the patterns
Asian Fans, Bud aud Budlite.
Again, three new patterns for me to try.
Thank you, Adele, for the lesson how to draw Asian Fans, so I tried it as you suggested. The Budlite and Bud are very nice with a little practice...
The string of this week is very nice as well.
Thank you, Adele!

It`s a String Thing #104

At least I did it... I have not had enough time this week for the challenges.
But I had the ideas in my head and I wanted to draw them.

Even if the result is not as perfect drawn as I intended (I started with the wrong glasses....) I send this tile as my part to "It`s a String Thing 104"

Congratulations, dear Adele, for this two years challenge. I think it is a lot of work every week to review all our works..
Thank you for that !
Best wishes from Dresden!

It`s a String Thing #103

The String Thing´s task of the week was to use the patterns Meer, MI2 and MR.E on a tile with string 103. While Adele (hopefully) had lots of fun with her grandchildren I had fun with this patterns.
Thank you Adele!
This time I did not use any aditional colour (but it was hard for me to do not!!)

It´s a String Thing #102

Thank you for your warm welcome on your blog "It´s a String Thing" dear Adele! I was so glad about your words and encouragement!
You are absolutely right: The weekly challenges are a very good way to get to know new patterns and to practise them - and then to compare with the uncountable versions of this patterns by the several artists! This is amazing for me!
The patterns which we use this week are completely new for me - I like them all, but my favourite is "Frost Flower"
This is my result:

It's a String Thing #101

I have found the challenge "It's a String Thing" some weeks ago and I followed every week the results with lots of fun!

Last week I read about the celebration of one hundred weeks of this wonderful challenge. I am overwhelmed about the stunning results and all the good wishes for Adele.
So I decided to try my first attention to this challenge this week.

This is my first tile for "It's a string thing' - with congratulations from my side for the 100!!

I used the String 101 with the patterns "Rixty" by Maria Thomas and "LG" by Adele Bruno
